Born on April 10, 1904 in Athol, she was a daughter of Walter and Bessie (Hervey) Barrett and grew up in Athol, graduating from Athol High School.
Abbie's first husband was Harry Bosworth and after his death, she married Henry Johnson.
She had lived in Orange for 30 years before moving back to Athol.
Abbie had worked at the former Ansin Shoe Comapny in Athol and the former Orange Shoe Company, and later went to work at the former Sprague Garment Company before retiring.
A member of the Athol Golden Agers, she also had been a member of the Orange Central Congregational Church and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
Survivors include a brother, Norman Barrett of Florida, and several nephews and nieces, including David and Michael Shepardson of Orange.

A graveside service will be held on Monday afternoon, November 26, 2007 at 2:00PM in South Cemetery,
585 South Main Street, Orange. Rev. Megan Leary of the Orange Central Congregational Church will officiate.
