Born March 2, 1924 at State Center, he was the son of Henry and Johannah Eckhardt Henze. He was reared in the State Center area. Mr Henze worked for John Deere, Ankeny, and retired in 1985. He has been a resident of Nevada for 26 years.
Mr Henze was a former Nevada city councilman, a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church and a World War II veteran.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a grandson, four brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey, two sons, Michael of Madrid and Brian of Nevada; three daughters, Kathleen Gracey of Burlington, Marcia Romero of Ambler, Pennsylvania and Susan Henze of Kittridge, Colorado. Also surviving are two sisters, Alice Eggers of State Center, France Grant of Leandro, California; three brothers, Elmer Henze and Harvey Henze both of State Center and Clifford Henze of Ramona, California; and seven grandchildren.
