Hallie Irene Davis, 102, of Gatesville, died Saturday in a Burnet nursing home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Scott's Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Dominy officiating. Burial followed at Restland Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 8, 1897 in Coryell County. She was the daughter of the late J.W. and Amilia Kinsey Coskrey. She was reared in Coryell County and attended school in Gatesville.
She married Joseph Edgar Davis on July 21, 1918 and they made their home in Purmela until he preceded her in death in 1978. She moved to Gatesville in 1979 and was a member of the First Baptist church.
She was a homemaker all her life and was nominated Mother of the Year in 1966 by the Purmela Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one grandson.
Survivors include four sons, Knox Davis of Burnet, Edgar Davis of Boerne, James Davis of San Antonio and Joe Davis of Cedar Park; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
