Funeral services for Mrs. E. H. Chitwood of Gatesville were held at 3 p. m. Wednesday at Scott's Chapel. Rev. A. K. Marney conducted the rites, and burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were H. G. Huckabee, Wes Nichols, E W. Jones, H. K. Jackson Jr., T. P. Holeyfield and Zack Fore.
Mrs. Chitwood, who had been in failing health for several years, died at 3:45 p. m. Monday in the local hospital. She was 75.
She was born Miss Kate Levina Crawford Feb. 13, 1885, in Coryell County, and resided in this county all her life. She and Mr. Chitwood were married July 10, 1918, and came to Gatesville in 1927.
Mrs. Chitwood was a member of the Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. A. K. Huckabee of Gatesville; and a grandson, Mike Huckabee of Gatesville.
Honorary pallbearers for the Wednesday funeral were Hurl McClellan, Cleo Carroll. B. E. McCoy, Joe White, P. H. Martin, Bill Bamburg, E. L. Stewart, Walker Key, George B. Painter, H. K. Jackson, Sr. and C. T. Dansby.
