MURRAY--Alice Jean Ackerman Chase, age 93, died May 1, 1993 in Murray, Utah.
Born August 24, 1899 in Salt Lake City to John Henry and Sarah Jane White Chase. Married John Howland Chase (Ackerman)November 9, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he died April 13, 1989. She served many years in church auxillaries. Served a mission with her husband in Hawaii from 1951-1953. Temple worker at the Salt Lake LDS Temple for 12 years.
Survived by sons, John Paul Chase and wife Shirley; Harold A. Chase and wife Dorthey; son-in-law, Keith M. Peterson; 18 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Jean Peterson.
Funeral services Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, where friends and family may call Tuesday one hour prior to service.
Interment, Centerville City Cemetery.
