WW1 vet., THP PIKE CO. DISPATCH THURSDAY SEPT. 16, 1965 Vol: 67 P.2 COL: 1QUESS BURNS; 78 of Brownstown, Brown County, former resident of Otwell, died unexpectedly at his home from a heart attack early Saturday morning.Although he had not been well for sometime from a heart ailment and in and out of the Veterans hospital several times, his death was sudden.He was born in the Iva community near Otwell, May 1887 and was married to the former Alpha Myers of Otwell who is Quite Ill at this time. They reared their family in Jefferson Twp. where he was a farmer. They went to Brownstown 30 years ago. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Otwell and the Nazarene Church of Brownstown. Survivors are his wife, Alpha; two sons, Kermit of Seymour and William of Iowa; three sisters, Mrs, Ida ~Whitten, MT. Carmel, Mrs. Samuel P. (Martha) Anderson and Mrs. Ira (Flossie) Traylor, Otwell and one brother, John Burns, St. Petersburg, Fla. One daughter, Hazel, died in 1947. Funeral services were Monday at the Nazarene Church in Brownstown, The body was brought to the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Otwell for burial
