Josephine Abbate WEYMOUTH Josephine Little Josie (Ministeri) Abbate passed away at the South Shore Hospital December. 24, 2009 at the age of 97. Born in Bostons North End, she went to Italy as a young child and returned at the age of 13. Josephine spent most of her life in South Boston and moved to Weymouth 9 years ago. For many years she worked as a sticher for College Town in Orient Heights. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Abbate. Mother of Joy Dineen married to Joe of Weymouth. Sister of Bernadette LoGrasso of South Boston, Pepe Ministeri of Sicily & the late Rose, Angela & George. Grandmother of Joseph Scott Dineen of Weymouth & John married to Jill Dineen of Dorchester. Great grandmother of Taryn & Jack Dineen. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Funeral from the South Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, 809 Main St. (Rte.18 opp. South Shore Hospital) Monday at 9:00 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church at 10:00 oclock.
