MARY FRANCES BANKS ALCOTT, 71, of Memphis, homemaker, died of leukemia Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elmwood. Memphis Funeral Home Union Chapel has charge. She was a member of Holy Communion Episcopal Church, a graduate of Lausanne School for Girls and attended Fairmont College in Washington. She was a member of the Women's Exchange, Our Home and Garden Club and Brooks Art League. She was a charter member of L'allegro Circle of King's Daughters. Mrs. Alcott, the widow of Harry W. Alcott, leaves two daughters, Mary Lee Sefried of Dallas and Love Dockery Banks Alcott of Memphis; a son, Richard Alcott of Greenville, Miss.; a sister, Sally Dockery Banks of Memphis, and two grandchildren.
