Mrs. Stella P. Castle, 85 years old of Louisa, died Monday morning in a Louisa hospital. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Young Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Moore and burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery. She was born at Ulysses, KY, October 20, 1879, a daughter of the late William Perry and Lovana Wolfe Compton, and was the widow of Harry Castle, who died in 1940. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Elijah Rose of Elyria, OH, Mrs. Ira Hale of Louisa, Route 1, and Mrs. Virgil Blair of Watergap, KY, three sons, Roscoe Castle of Minden, WV, Ralph Castle of Mount Hope, WV, and John Castle of Louisa; three brothers, Willie Compton of Holden, WV, Burgess Compton of McDowell, KY, and Ora Compton of Virgie, KY; and 43 grandchildren and 87 great grandchildren.
