When World War II broke out, Margie moved to the east coast, and she worked for the Army Air Corps. Her job was Aircraft Accident Analyst, to determine the cause of military aircraft accidents, i.e. pilot error or mechanical error. Not surprisingly, she said, most of the accidents were caused by pilot error. Years later, her position grew up to become the Federal Aviation Administration, whose job was the same....to determine whether an accident was caused by a pilot error or a mechanical error.

She had married Charles C Morrey before she left the west coast. He was stationed, at the beginning of the war, on the east coast. When Charles was transferred to Washington at Ft. Lewis, Margie went with him, and their first child, Sandra, was born.

Margie and Charles had a total of four children, and they lived in southern California to raise their children; both Margie and Charles were raised in the Los Angeles area. Margie was a devoted mother, serving as girl scout leader, cub scout leader, room mother, choir director at Job's Daughters for her daughter who was a member, and several other positions, all directed toward helping her children in their schooling and activities.

She loved gardening, and her home in Corona del Mar was a beautiful showcase of roses and other beautiful flowers in her garden.
