PORT HURON -- Catherine A. "Kaye" Bubel, 68, of Port Huron, died, Saturday, June 12, 2004.

She was born June 5, 1936 in Port Huron to the late Charles and Catherine Palmateer.

She married Gerald R. Bubel on June 6, 1970 in Port Huron.

Mrs. Bubel was employed at Evangelical Nursing Home for several years. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Gerald; four step-children, Deborah Becker and Nicholas, Tina and Joseph Bubel; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mary Louise Hawley; sister-in-law, Dorothy Palmateer; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Alvin "Red" Palmateer; and a sister, Donna Baker.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen and Paul Palmateer, Dan Hawley, and David, Jeff and Corey Baker.
