Pennie Lynn "Grammie" Vanderburg, age 53, of Maud, Texas, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Vanderburg was born November 16, 1956 in Oakland, California and lived in Maud for the past twenty six year moving from Texarkana. She was the City of Maud Secretary and Co-Owner of V-Bar Stables in Maud. She was a member of the Maud Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Walter Vanderburg of Maud, Texas; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Braeden and Heather Vanderburg of Wake Village, Texas; Shane Vanderburg of Maud, Texas; two daughters and one son-in-law: and special companion: Yolanda and Albert Elizondo of Dallas, Texas; Rhonda Hubbard and Terry Bledsue of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother: David Botelho; four sisters: Joanne Brooks, Beverly Floyd, Janette Pulsford and Kathleen Holland; eleven grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P. M. Tuesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Jon Binkley officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M.
