George Wirick was born in Richland County, Ohio Jan. 24, 1823; died at his home in Jefferson Twp March 28, aged 79 years 2 months and 4 days. He married Sarah Weaver Oct. 18, 1855, to whom were born 3 sons and 4 daughters. The eldest son, J. C. Fremont, died at the age of 4. The remaining children and wife are left to mourn. He united with the Disciple Church in 1859. Funeral was at Mt. Pleasant Church obit courtesy of Judy Borup (#47606228)
