Carl D. Boring, 77, of Indiana died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Indian Haven.
The son of Hughie and Olie Boring, he was born Nov. 25, 1927, in Heilwood, Indiana County. Mr. Boring was a member of the Church of the Covenant, Josephine. He had worked for Haws Refractory and at Indian Haven.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Carol L. (Lambert) Boring; a son, Jeffrey C. of Indiana; stepchildren: Barry Graham and wife Darlene, Indiana, Louise Wiles and husband Matthew, Brackenridge and David D. Griffiths and wife Heather, Northern Cambria;
Also a brother, Leland, of Clearfield; three sisters: Thelma Fitz, Sarasota, Fla., Iola VanNest, Ebensburg, Dorothy McCoy, Las Vegas, Nev. and five stepgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Graham Boring in 1998; four brothers: Boyd, Blaine, Floyd and Leroy, and two sisters: Erma Walker and Margaret Parrott.
A service was held at RobinsonLytle, Indiana, with Rev. Ray Satherfield officiating. Interment was in Armagh Cemetery.
