Sallie died at the Regency Nursing Home. She was 82 and a member of the Annona First Baptist Church.
Sallie's funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at Lindeman Chapel with the Rev. James Brown and the Rev. C. E. Rivers officiating. Burial followed at the Garland Cemetery under the direction of the Clarksvilie Funeral Home.
Sallie was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Burns and Annie Olivia Anderson. On 20 Dec 1934, Sallie married Thomas Milton Coleman in
Red River County, Texas. He preceded her in death (17 Sep 1980). In addition, Sallie is preceded in death by two children: a daughter, Norma Jean Coleman Howland (8 Dec 1983), and a son Milton Ray Coleman (6 Nov 1993).
She was survived by a son, Billy Wayne Coleman of Wynne, Ark., and a daughter, Barbara Jo Coleman Walker of Irving, Texas. In addition, she was survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
