Connie Stewart Services in Boron, Kern, CA

Funeral services were conducted at the Assembly of God Church in Boron, Calif. on Oct 28, 1963 at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Connie Sue (Lindesy) Stewart , wife of Airman Jimmy Stewart, who is stationed at the Edwards Air Force Base.

Mrs. Stewart, who was seventeen years old, was born in the Spiro , Oklahoma and came, to California with her mother and step-father when she was an infant. She had attended schools in Boron.

The young woman took her own life on Friday, October 25 at the home of her parents where the young couple made their home at 26850 Cody St. Boron, Calif.

The Stickel Mortuary of Mojave was in charge of the services and the body was sent to Spiro, Oklahoma for burial in Bokoshe at Milton Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband Jimmy Stewart,and her Father Paul Thomas Lindsey,Mother and step-father, Dieca and Luther Blair, Three sisters Demerris Pauline Lindsey, Debra Jane Blair, and Mona Blair of Boron, California.

Debra Jane Fleig: Connie was 17 when she died,she was shot Mom always said by her husband did it ,but the newspaper said she shot herself.I will never forget that night we were visiting a brother of Daddys and Dad was drunk when Mom got the call. I remember Mom screaming No no no and passing out then a long car ride home Mom had to drive Dad was to drunk Mom would stop and call every hour and they would tell mom shes ok drive safe when we got back to Boron she was dead and had died very soon after the shot they just didnt want to tell Mom with her on the road.Daddy never took another drink.So much water under the bridge...
