Dica Blair, 86, passed away August 27, 2013, in Vian, OK. She was born May 13, 1927, in Ola, AR, to Perry Poe and Mona (Barrick) Poe. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Poteau. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Cephus Whitecotton, her husband Luther Blair; three daughters Mona Blair, Connie Stewart and Demerris Hamblin; three brothers Joe Whitecotton, Beacher Whitecotton, Jay Cee Whitecotton; one sister Inell Pearson. Dica is survived by two sons Tommy D. Blair and wife Sheri of Benton, AR and David J. Blair of Heavener, OK; two daughters, Joan Woody of Little Rock, AR, Debra Jane Fleig and husband William of Heavener, OK; twenty three grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a brother Dale Whitecotton of Bokoshe, OK; four sisters, Violet Cessna of Spiro, OK, Caroletta Cooper of Wilburton, OK, Patricia Shimp of OKC, OK and Judy Medina; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones. Services will be Thursday, August 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Pastor Phil Petre officiating. Viewing will begin Wednesday 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.

Dica "Dicey" was not a Whitecotton. Her mother, Mona Barricks, was married to John Albert Joe Cephus Whitecotton before she married Perry Poe, who was Dica's father. Then she married John Albert Joe Cephus Whitecotton a second time. Dica is still
