Flora married Ceylon Smith in 1894. He was in the leather trade. They moved to Gloversville, New York (Ceylon's home) shortly after their marriage and lived there until 1900. After returning to Canada, they lived in various Ontario communities: Acton, Toronto, Salem and Kitchener. They had two sons.
Flora was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had exceptional sewing, needlepoint and homemaking skills and was the determined and loving leader of her family. She had a keen sense of humour and an interest in all things.
This entry is written by her great-grandson on the 50th anniversary of her death, December 26, 2010. Her clocks are still reliably ticking and chiming to remind us of the devotion she had for her home and family. She will never be forgotten. She was the last of her generation.
