Genevieve (Davis) Boozel, 93, of Great Falls, Mont., died of natural causes, Dec. 3, 2009 at Peace Hospice. Genevieve is survived by her daughter Rebecca Leffler of Great Falls, her son Raymond (Suzanne) Boozel of Meridian, Id., grandchildren Andrea Leffler (Ron Fox) of Bettendorf, Iowa, Richard (Mary) Boozel of Caldwell, Id., and great-grandchildren Kendrick, Jonathan, and Claire Boozel. She was preceded in death by her husband Dail B. Boozel, in 1987. Genevieve was born April 16, 1916 in Shawmut, Mont., as one of six children to Nellie (Cole) and Harry Davis. She married Dail Boozel on Feb. 2, 1943 in San Francisco, Calif. During World War II she worked in a munitions factory in San Francisco while Dail completed his service in the Army Medical Corps. In 1945 they returned to Missoula, Mont., later making their permanent home in Great Falls. A devoted wife and mother, Genevieve centered her life around her family, bringing out the best in her children and grandchildren. Her kind and generous spirit is remembered by those who knew her. She enjoyed baking, singing with the Sweet Adelines, playing in card clubs, fishing trips with Dail, and oil painting. A memorial service will be held Jan. 8, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Chapel of Chimes, Great Falls, Mont., with burial of ashes in the Manchester Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
