Gladys M. (Garland) Campbell, 69, died Dec. 30, 1997 at her home. She was born May 26, 1928 to Eddie H. and Effie M. Garland. Mrs. Campbell retired in 1983 after 20 years of bookkeeping for Stokely Van Camp Inc. in Indianapolis. She had also worked at Frank and Mary's restaurant in Pittsboro. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Lizton Christian Church, Lizton Temple Pythian Sisters and National Federation of Grandmother's Clubs of America Crossroads Chapter No. 597.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Graham of Lizton and David Graham of Jamestown; four daughters, Martha Grooms of New Albany, Indiana, Marjorie Disher of Indianapolis, Mary McMurray of North Salem and Marilyn Sharp of Lizton; two brothers, Floyd and Elmer Garland, both of Lizton; three sisters, Edna Bailey of Pittsboro, Marie Haffner of Lizton and Violet McClaine of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marlene Olds.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 3 at the Porter Funeral Home with the Rev. Edwin Roark officiating. Burial will be at the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.
Note: After the death of her first husband, Hubert Oral Graham, she married Grady Campbell on Oct. 6, 1986.
