John W. Allee, 87, Iberia, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 1983 at his home. He was born May 5, 1895, near Iberia to John P. and Julie Plemmons Allee. On April 20, 1924, he was married at Brumley to Wilma Karr, who survives at the home. Prior to that he was married in 1918 to Oma Trusley, who died in 1922.

Mr. Allee was a retired farmer and was a member of the Honey Spring Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, those surviving include two sons, James Allee, Overland Park, Kan., and Charles Allee, Brumley; a daughter, Mrs. Ardis Lyons, Kansas City, Kan.; and 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating. Burial was in the Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley.
