Carl Mitchell Hunt, my beloved father, was born on March 16, 1934 to George Thomas and Esther Eleanor Hunt in Capron, Virginia. At an early age, he joined Mars Hill Baptist Church. He graduated from South Hampton County High School in Courtland. Thereafter, he joined the United States Air Force. After leaving the USAF, Carl worked as a taxi driver. He use to make time to pick up this young little lady whenever possible. He also worked for the Railroad. Later, he moved to Portsmouth, VA and married the little lady he use to pick up in his cab, and her name was Hattie Mae Richardson. Carl later moved his family to NY where he worked at Wiltwyck School for Boys and General Motors.
