JOHN EUGENE WINTERTON
Winterton Services Set
Funeral services for John Eugene Winterton, 88, retired farm laborer of La Grande who died here yesterday in a local hospital, will be held at Alsip Funeral Chapel at Nampa, Idaho, Monday at 3 p.m. Mr. Winterton died after an extended illness. He was born at Charlston, Utah on Jan. 18, 1871. He had been a resident of La Grande for 35 years. He was a member of LDS church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Oria Winterton: four sons, Jess and Bert Winterton of La Grande, Bill of Cashmere, Wash., and Elden of Renton, Wash., three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Taylor of Nampa, Mrs. Mattie Barker of Wapato, Wash., and Stella Taylor of Guadalupe, Calif., two brothers Robert Winterton of San Point, Idaho and Dave of Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren also survived. Arrangements are under the direction of Daniels Funeral Home.
