Services for Billie Jo Parnell of Mountain Home will be at 10 am Friday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Pfalser officiating. Mrs. Parnell died Tuesday ( Oct. 5, 1999) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. She was 71.
Mrs. Parnell was born Oct. 5, 1927 at Reed, Okla., to Everett James and Minnie May Smith Watson. She married Vero Parnell and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards, and watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball. She was a member of the College and North Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Parnell and wife, Brenda of Osborn, Mo., and John Parnell of Mountain Home; two daughters, Patsy Walker and husband, Sunny, and Judy McGrath, all of Mountain Home; one brother, Gene Watson of Midway; two sisters, Cassey Jennings of Kansas City, Kan., and Esta Brunson and husband, Joe, of Mountain Home; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Everett Watson; husband, Vero Parnell; two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 pm Thursday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery at Norfork.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the College and North Church of Christ.
