Lewis F. Adams was born in Davis County, April 28, 1856, and departed this life at Valley Junction, Iowa, January 25, 1929. He was united in marriage to Miss Nancy Boston, January 24, 1878. To this union one son and four daughters were born, Thomas of Valley Junction, Mrs. Louie Long of Unionville, Iowa; Mrs. Mamye Scott, Mrs Sarah Tarrence of Valley Junction, and Mrs. Charles Elder of Sigourney. His companion preceded him in death eight years ago.

The deceased is survived by his five children, twenty-one grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

The body was shipped to Unionville, Iowa, Saturday and funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, in charge of the Rev. Luther W. Childs, of Ottumwa. All of the children were present at the service. The body was laid to rest in the Adams cemetery.
