He entered the United States Army Air Corp in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1946 with the rank of a staff sergeant.
Ray was united in marriage to Margaret Cram on September 21, 1947, in Tilden, Nebraska.
They have made Grand Island, Nebraska their home since 1958.
Raymond worked for Super-Sweet Feeds 1958-70 and was a Turkey Grower from 1948-91.
