1935 - 2009

Hazel Louise "Lou" Lewallyn, age 74, of Chumuckla, died December 12, 2009.
She was a native of Anniston, AL but had resided in the Pensacola/Chumuckla area since 1956. She was a retired secretary from Escambia High School and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
She will be lovingly remembered for her love of sporting activities, playing Bingo and doing flea markets.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Arthur and Lona Taylor; her husband, Ray Lewallyn; her daughter, Carmen Denise Aeppli; two brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Mike Bracewell; son-in-law, John Aeppli; four grandchildren, Robin and Jonathan Aeppli, Jason Bracewell, and Kristy (Sean) Carroll; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Sue and Rob Hedrick and Lila and Aaron Cole; one brother and sister-in-law, Rogers and Maye Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Norman Sullivan and Pastor Matt Dotson officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service.
Burial will follow at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Brad Baker, Kevin Sowell, Scott Markel, Daniel Hahn, Ken Bass, and Tom Trull.
Santa Rosa County Emergency Management and 911 Center Staff will serve as honorary pallbearers, as well as the Wednesday Ladies Prayer Group.
