After her marriage, she lived in Sault St. Marie, Michigan for five years. They lived in other towns in Michigan and for one year in Texas, wherever Bill was stationed. After Bill's death, Doris and Carol moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. She took training at Mound Park Hospital to become an X-ray technician.
