Mrs. Nellie Mabe Mickey 78, died Saturday October 4, 1997 at Greensboro Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born September 22, 1919 in Danbury, NC to John G. and Jettie Rodgers Mabe.

Mrs. Mickey was a member of Woodland Baptist Church, She retired from P. H. Hanes Knitting Co.

Surviving are one step-son Jimmy Mickey of Jonesville, NC; two brothers, Dewey Mabe of Phoenix, AZ and Norman Mabe of Winston-Salem; five sisters, Clarice Grindstaff, Trudy Apperson and Lois Sell all of Winston-Salem, Dorthell Howard of Richmond, VA and Eva Tesh of Welcome, NC; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 7, 1997 at Gardens of Memory Walkertown. Rev. Tim Gammons will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to
9 P.M. Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel and and requests memorials be made to the Salvation Army PO Box 1205 Winston-Salem, N 27102-1205..
