William S. Yeisley

Wm. S. Yeisley died Thursday morning at one o'clock at the Rock Island Hotel of pernicious aenaemia and kidney trouble after three weeks of suffering. He had been a patient sufferer for over three years and his system could no longer withstand the strain on it. Mr. Yeisley was born in Van Wert, Ohio, Dec. 15, 1868, died in Billings, Jan. 10, 1907, at the age of 39 years and 26 days. The remains will be laid to rest in the Burdett Cemetery, 5 miles from Ava, Douglas county, Missouri, near the home of his parents.
Hisfather E.H. Yeisley, who had been here for the past ten days, had the remains prepared for shipment at once and he left with them yesterday by way of Hunter for his home, where interment will take place about Sunday.
Will, as he was known here, and his brother, Ira, came to Billings when the town was started and Will has remained ever since. He was a first class carpenter and many fine buildings stand in our midst as evodence of his fine workmanship. His last contract of consequence was the fine home he completed last fall for John Starr, north of town.
Mr. E.H. Yeisley, his father, feels deeply in depts to the friends who have been sofaithful in helping to wait on and set up with his son.
He leaves a dear father and mother, besides six brothers and four sister, also numerous friends here. His is the first death in a large family and they have the sympathy of many in this community.
Will S. Yeisley was a son of our esteemed citizens and friends. Mr. and Mrs E.H. Yeisley, of this place, and a brother of one of our leading carpenters, Ira Yeisley. His remains were brot here last Friday, and were laid to rest in the Burdett Cemetery, Sunday Jan. 13. Funeral services were conducted at his parents' home Sunday at 11:00 a.m., by Rev. P.A. Byrd. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
