Her career years before and after service saw her in Toronto, then Winnipeg, and back to Toronto again. Joyce loved to write and to visit foreign lands. She always said "she was working on a book" about her travels
She died in Toronto on exactly the same day as her father, 32 years later. Her ashes rest with her parents in St. James' grounds
