Son of Marshall "Marsh" and Malissia Elizabeth Blair Moore. He married Ruby E Daniel and worked for an armored car company in Odessa before succumbing to kidney cancer at the age of 58.

Funeral for Garland N. (Pete) Moore was conducted Friday in Royal Heights Pentecostal Church in Odessa.

Moore, brother of Thermon Moore and H. A. Moore of Colorado City, died here May 20 in local hospital.

Born May 8, 1912, in Nolan County, he married Ruby Daniel in 1929 at Maryneal. He was employed on Ainsworth and McClellan ranch near Sterling City about 17 years prior to his move 13 years ago to Odessa. He was associated with a bonding service there.

In addition to his brothers here, Moore is survived by his wife, Ruby, of Odessa; a son, Alvin Moore of Midland; another brother, Hatton Moore of Burleson, four sisters Mrs. J. D. Coon of Hobbs, New Mexico, Mrs. Alvin Vieregee of Big Spring, Mrs. Fannie Graham of Sweetwater, and Mrs. Austin Oden of Sweetwater.
