She lived in Hollister, Oklahoma and graduated there from high school. She married Hilton Brandon on June 23, 1928 in Hollister.
They later moved to Altus and also lived in southwestern Okla. She moved to Cyril where she lived for over 54 years.
Vera was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cyril where she was very active in church activities. Vera loved her church. She sponsored the first group of youth ever to attend the Falls Creek Baptist Assembly from the Cyril church. She was a W.M.U. officer, taught G.A.'s, and was a Sunday School teacher. Vera will long be remembered for the delicious cinnamon rolls she so lovingly made for friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Her husband, Hilton, preceded her in death on December 5, 1973.
