Funeral services were held February 2 for Lloyd J. Jensen at 1 p.m. at the Lindquist Clearfield Chapel. Mr. Jensen, formerly of Vernal, died of a stroke January 30 in Ogden.
He was born November 21, 1918 in Duchesne to Julius and Vilate Goodrich Jensen. He married Jean Young, January 18, 1942 at Elko, Nevada. He servred in the U. S. Air Force during World War II, worked at Hill Air Force Base as an equipment specialist and was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors: widow, son, Lloyd Richard; daughter, Joanne, both of Clearfield; Mrs. Richard (Julie) Ashby, Clinton, Davis County; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Dustin; brothers, Earl; sisters, Mrs Phil (Lucy) Martin, Mrs. Laurence (Merle) Siddoway, all of Vernal, Clyde, Citrus Heights, California; Mrs. Harold (Beth) Douglas, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Kay (Lenore) Samuels, Elk Grove, California.
Family prayer was givein by Earl Jensen. Prelude and postlude by Thomas Oleikan. Invocation by Grant Vander Linden. Obituary was by Bishop Joseph M. Hess. Musical selections, "Somewhere My Love" by Ronald Phipps. Speakers were Dee Shepherd, Jack Farrimond. A musical selection was next, "In the Garden," by Ronald Phipps followed by remarks by Bishop Joseph Hess and benediction by Harold Dougal.
Pallbearers were Richard Jensen, Richard Ashby, Allan Martin, Mont Swapp, Gill Darrah and Harold Dougal.
Interment was in the Redwood Memorial Estates, Salt Lake City. Dedication of the grave was by Charles Oleikan.
