Buford Harrison 'B.H.' Allen
Funeral for Buford Harrison "B.H." Allen, 88, of Decatur will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Compton and the Rev. Steven Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Allen died today, Jan. 29, 2003, at NHC Healthcare in Moulton. He was born July 9, 1914, in Lawrence County to William H. Allen and Annie Maybelle Montgomery Allen. He owned B.H. Allen Grocery Store for 46 years and was a member of Albany Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Allen; two sons, Windell Allen and Terry Allen, both of Decatur; two daughters, Peggy A. Hughes and Regina Smith, both of Decatur; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
