William H. Allen Dies In Decatur; Funeral Sunday
Funeral services for William H. Allen were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Landersville Church of Christ.
Mr. Allen, a former resident of Decatur, had moved to Florence about a week ago to work with a construction company there. He became ill Friday and was brought to Decatur by his son who found him dead when he went to wake him Saturday about 6 a.m.
Tom Corum conducted the rites and interment was in the adjoining cemetery, Brown directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Allen, Florence; three sons, Buford and Alton, Decatur, Sanford, Hatton; one brother, George, Birmingham; and one sister, Mrs. Mittie Ray, Courtland.
