W.I. Heflin, citizen of Moulton, passed away about four o'clock this morning, after confinement of but a few days to his room. Though apparently well he had not been in good health for several years, yet no one suspected his condition as ciritcal. Mr. Heflin had spent the fifty-three years of his life in and around Moulton where he conducted for several years a very successful mercantile business. For the past two or three years he has devoted his time to local business and cotton buying. He was one of the directors of the Citizens Bank of Moulton.
Mr. Heflin leaves his wife and one daughter, Miss Josephine, student at Alabama College, Montevallo; six sisters, Mrs. James Williams of Mount Hope, Mrs. John Key, Mrs. G.W. Wade, Mrs. W.J. Wade, Mrs. H.E. Weatherwax and Mrs. E.F. Weatherwax, all living in or near Moulton.
Burial services will be held at the Methodist church Wednesday morning with services conducted by the local pastor. Interment, with Priest of Albany in charge, at the Heflin Cemetery, a mile west of Moulton.
