Mrs. Laura Key, 96, Succumbs In Colbert

Mrs. Laura Key, 96, resident of Rt. 3, Tuscumbia, and a member of Salem Baptist Church for the past 83 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Willis of Rt. 3, Tuscumbia, today at 8:15 a.m. She had been ill for one week, according to relatives.

Mrs. Key, a native of Lawrence County, had been living in Colbert for the past 20 years.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Colbert Heights Baptist Church with Rev. E.E. Neill and Rev. J.W. Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Washer Cemetery, Lawrence County with Brown Service of Tuscumbia in charge.

Mrs. Key leaves one daughter, Mrs. Willis of Rt. 3, Tuscumbia; one sister, Mrs. Kitty Wade of Moulton; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

The body will be at the residence of Mrs. Willis from 4 p.m. Saturday until time for service.

Active bearers will be Preston Glover, C.W. Mitchell, John A. Malone, Carlos Armstead, Brown Vess and Pride Andrews.
