Josephine Garner, was born Jan 15, 1853 Andrew Co, MO. Married Jonathan Newby July 8, 1869 at her home near Nodaway, Andrew Co, MO. She died Jan 8, 1935 Kansas City, Jackson Co, MO, while living with her son Charles, who ran a hotel there. Josephine's husband, Jonathan moved with several of his brothers to Ness Co, KS, later moving again to Marion Co, KS; Anderson Co, KS; Johnson Co, KS, and finally settling in Rice Co, KS, where both he and Joephine died. They had 11 children: Charles, Leona, Will, David, Eva, Leliah, Ora, Ethel, Myrtle, Clarence, and Paul.
