Melvinia Elnora "Ella" Cheadle married George Miles Brady on 25 April 1915 in Tacoma.

In 1900 Ella Cheadle was living with her sister Clara in Culvre, Audrain County, Missouri. In 1910 Ella was living with her parents, Jacob and Jane Elizabeth Headrick Cheadle in Olympia, Washington. Jacob was a gardener. Jacob was the son of Roswell Cheadle and Elizabeth Farnham Cheadle.

Jacob joined the 39th Missouri Volunteers at age 16. He married Jane Headrick on 3 November 1868, in Pike County, Missouri. He was survived by five of his eleven children, fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Jacob was the last living Civil War Veteran in the State of Washington. Jacob and Jane Cheadle are buried in the Odd Fellows Memorial Park in Tumwater, Washington.

In 1930 Ella and George were living in West Park, Yakima County, with their daughters, Lois and Margaret. Also living in the household was George's Uncle, David Merritt "Met" Hake. George and Met were farming.
