The funeral of George S. Scheidt, 74, of 32 Noble St., who died Monday afternoon in the Allentown Hospital, will be held Friday at 2 p. m. in the Fritz & Kendall funeral Home, Kutztown. The Rev. Carlton L. Heckman will officiate. Burial will be in the Hope cemetery.
Kutztown. Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Henry and Lydia (Stoudt) Scheidt, and prior to retiring nine years ago he had been employed by Carpenter Steel Co. He was a member of the Kutztown Fire Co. No. 1.
Surviving are his widow, Mary (Potts) Scheidt, five sons, Carl H., and Fred B. both of Kutztown, John H. Miami Shores, Fla.: Miles M., Grand Rapids, Mich., and Earl R., Dover, Del.; a daughter, Mrs. George Kendall, Kutztown; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
