Born October 15, 1930, in Liberty, Idaho, to George Edward and Edna Matthews Shepherd. Served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the British Isles. Proudly served his country in the army during the Korean War. Married his sweet-heart, Gwenith Bates, on December 20, 1957, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Attended the University of Utah, graduating as a chemical engineer. Worked for Thiokol Corporation and Hercules Aerospace in West Valley City, Utah, where he retired in 1992 after 33 years of dedicated service.
He was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many leadership positions. Todd's greatest joy was to be surrounded by his family. His legacy is a life of service. The greatest sermon he ever preached was how he lived his life. He was truly and example to all.
Survived by his eternal companion Gwen; their seven children, Jeanine (Randy) Lewis, Tremonton, Utah, Marilyn (Steve) Shumway, South Jordan, Utah, Georgia (Gary) Rosquist, Midvale, Utah, Matthew (LeiAnn) Shepherd, North Ogden, Utah, Arlen Shepherd, West Valley City, Utah, Mitchell Shepherd, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Brian Shepherd, Salt Lake City, Utah; his two brothers, J. Farrell (Lois) Shepherd and William G. (Jenness deceased) Shepherd, both of Ogden, Utah; 17 grandchildren whom he loved dearly; and numerous other extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Grenville "Pete" and Kay Shepherd. Todd never liked to say "goodbye" but rather, "'til we meet again." We'll miss you dad.
