My husband's name is Walter Dale Bowden and he is a descendant of John Bowden - 1755. I found your "Family Tree of William A. Yates" on the internet. This is what I know about the 1755 John Bowden. In the "Fields Family History" (Mitchell, IN library) given by Doyle N. Bowden when questioned by Albert J. Fields in 1935. Doyle says his great grand-daddy (John Bowden-1755) was an Irishman. He was in the Rev. War. They came from the Free State of Ireland. He lived in Baltimore and raised 5 sons. Two came here(Lawrence or Martin Co., IN) and 3 went somewhere else. This Doyle N. Bowden was 91 years old at the time of the interview and was the great grandson of John Bowden -1755. Here is his connection:
1. John Bowden 1755
2. Doyle Bowden 1779-1853 + Mary Williams West
3. John Bowden 1810-1885 + Lydia Fields
4. Doyle N. Bowden 1845-1939 + Eliza Lathrop & Lucy White.
Lydia Fields Bowden was born in 1805 and died in 1883. She was married to John Bowden Oct. 2, 1828 in Lawrence Co., IN and is buried in the Port Williams Cem, Lawrence Co., IN This John Bowden was the grandson of John Bowden 1755. This is my husband's Bowden connection:
