Services for Jacob (Jack) Hoida, 62, of 2442 S 84th St, West Allis, an electrician, will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the Koelsch funeral home,7626 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis, followed by requiem mass at 10 a.m.at St. Matthias' Catholic church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Members oft he Holy Name and Ushers' societies of St. Matthias' church and the West Allis Knights of Columbus will hold a vigil at 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hoida died Monday at the county general hospital after a brief illness. He had been employed at the Power Service Co the last 20 years. He was a member of local 494 of the Electrical Workers Union, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name and Ushers' Societies at the church. He was born in Marinette, Wis.

Surviving him are his wife, Phoebe; a son, Jacob, Jr, Milwaukee; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Hardie, town of Franklin, and Miss Doris Hoida, at home; two brothers, Joseph, Green Bay, and William, Stephenson, Mich.,and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Voracheck, Menominee, Mich. and Mrs ( )

Former Local Resident Dead - Jack Hoida dies at West Allis. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Mathias Catholic church at West Allis for Jack Hoida, Former Marinette resident who died there Monday. He died after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage last week.

Mr Hoida who left here more than 25 years ago was employed by the M. and M. Light and Traction Company before he moved to West Allis.

He is survived by his wife, a son, two daughters, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Fred Bouche and Mrs. Fred Michaely of Milwaukee and Mrs. Mary Voracheck, former resident here who now resides in Honolulu, and two brothers, Joseph Hoida of Green Bay and William Hoida of Stephenson.
