Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Marva Mary Williams Baker, age 91, died December 4, 2009 at South Valley Transitional Care Center in Orem, Utah. She resided at 177 East Rustler Street in Teasdale, Utah at the time of her death.


She was born May 1, 1918 in Teasdale, a daughter of Gustavious and Duella Dance Williams.


She grew up in Teasdale and graduated from Wayne High School. She married Alfred Baker on June 30, 1937 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died August 3, 1989. Marva was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various callings.


She is survived by her children: Milton and Carolyn Baker of Nibley, Utah; Heber and Doris Baker of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Meleta and Robert Taylor of Orem, Utah; Colton and Karen Baker of Payson, Utah; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; brother: Dwight and Carol Williams of Teasdale; brothers and sisters-in-law: Dale and Viola Baker of Teasdale; Stanley and Rhea Baker of Murray, Utah; Garth Baker of Rupert, Idaho; L Nora Williams of Payson, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers and one sister: Orwell Williams, Dyle Williams, Ardis Smith, Bryce Williams, and Reed Williams.


Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Teasdale Cultural Hall, where friends may call for a viewing on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Teasdale Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
