Services for Jean F. Cagle, 81, of Whiteface, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003 at First Baptist Church of Whiteface with Rev. Harold Harrison, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Memorial Cemetery under the direction of George C. Price Funeral Directors.

She died at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2003 at the home of her daughter. She was under the care of Hospice. She was born on April 14, 1921 in Fort Worth. She resided in Whiteface for many years where she served as a postmaster.

She was active in Methodist Church for a number of years until it disbanded. She was married to Penn Cagle in 1951. he died on November 7, 1972. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Any Beth Martinez in 2001.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Ward, Bernice Foster, and Dorothy Willingham and a brother, Owen McSpadden. She is survived by six daughters; Ann Eby of Ruidoso N.M., Pam Bowers, Beth Chilton, Bobbie Snodgrass adn Ida Lyn Tucker, all of Lubbock and Leesa Cagle of Boynton Beach, FLA; a brother, Cecil McSpadden of Canyon and a sister, Dorris Black of Prairie Grove, Ark; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
