Funeral services for Jacklyn "Jackie" Simpson will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2004 in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Dr. Richard Young and Rev. Scott Cummings officiating.
Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Hawsen, Leslie Eckles, Randal Fry, David Johnson, David Haddad, and Will Norton.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 30, 2004 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Jackie was born on July 24, 1957 in Conroe, Texas and passed away on December 29, 2004 from complications following a surgery. She is a 1975 graduate of Conroe High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin University. She taught school at Travis Junior High and was an air traffic controller for over 20 years. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, was active in youth ministries and Emmaus community. She was a student at Austin Presbyterian Seminary with intentions of entering the ministry.
Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Simpson, and sisters, Jane and Julie.
She is survived by her mother, Eleanor Simpson; great aunts, Betsy Castleberry of Lufkin and Hellen Atkinson of Round Rock; aunt, Jonnie Dell Dabney of Conroe; cousins, David Dabney and Diane Dabney of Conroe, Patty Rumbaugh of Panorama and Mike Norton of Spring
