Vern Harmon, a native of Bonpas township, passed away quite suddenly Sunday afternoon at his home at Bradford, following a heart attack.

He was a son of the late Charles W. and Delia Harmon and lived east of Calhoun on a farm until 22 years ago when he moved to northern Illinois.

He was a member of the Otterbein EUB church.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Betty) Crews and Mrs. Leslie (Irene) Wooden of Tiskilwa, and three sons, Leslie and Loren of Tiskilwa and Walter of Bradford. Seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Curl and Mrs Evelyn Leathers of Gibson City and a brother, Guy Harmon, of Peoria, also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Lowell who was killed in World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Tiskilwa Funeral Home with burial at Tiskilwa cemetery.

Several relatives from Richand county plan to attend the funeral services.
