Another son - Joseph Forrester Morris, born 07 Dec 1820 in North Carolina, died 05 Dec 1866 in Georgia, Married Mary A. Starnes in about 1843. Children: Martha E. Morris 1844-1880, Nathan Milton Morris 1845-1933, Sarah Palina Pauline Morris 1852-1933, William O. Morris 1853-1908, Jane Morris 1854, Isabella Alice Morris 1856 and Angeline Morris 1858-1925

I'm not suggesting a correction to the Find-A-Grave Memorial since Enoch's date of birth given is consistent with what is on the gravestone BUT the entry in the family bible , on which the first page is written "Enoch Morris His Bible September the 20 1835" reads, "Enoch Morris the sun [sic] of Benjamin and Sara Morris was borne the twenty fourth of July 1794". In addition, his 1867 Pauldiing Co., GA Voter Registration, which he signed, says, "naturalized by birth on the 24 day of July 1794." So there's ample evidence that his actual birthday is July 24 rather than the June 24 that was put on the gravestone. Since he died in Texas rather than in Georgia, supposedly while visiting his son Nathan H. (my 2nd great grandfather), there were no other family members present to give the correct information. I'm a 3rd great grandson who shares his correct birthday of July 24.
