William Morris married Elizabeth Lewellen on 27 May 1851 at Union County, North Carolina.

died at his home in the Gooseneck community.

"I was personally acquainted with W.M. Morris on his lifetime and his wife, Elizabeth Morris during her lifetime. They are now both dead. The following statement shows the name of their children.

First: A daughter, Mrs. Belle Suttle
Second: A daughter, Mary J. James
Third: A daughter, Mrs. Plina Bulter, also known as Ida Pauline Butler.
Fourth: Mrs. Charlotte Butler a daughter

These are the only heirs of W.M. Morris and Elizabeth Morris deceased.

R.M. Williams purchased all of the land of W.M. Morris and Elizabeth Morris from the heirs.
